Do you want to earn your Secondary School Diploma? 

Adult High School offers high school credit courses for students interested in working toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. These courses are taught in-person (we do not offer ONLINE courses) in a semestered format (4 classes of 75 minutes each, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.). 

Do you want to improve your English skills in reading and writing before starting classes in September? 

REGISTER TODAY in the OCDSB non-credit Academic Upgrading Program offered through Continuing Education’s Literacy and Basic Skills program! Classes run directly out of a classroom at the Adult HS.

OCDSB non-credit Academic Upgrading Program (Online and In-class)

This FREE program allows you to Learn / study at your own pace while preparing to enter High School with the following benefits: 

  • In-person sessions on one or more afternoons (Tues, Wed, and Thurs)
  • Free onsite chidcare (children 6 months and up) for eligible families
  • Free chromebooks to use while in the program (eligible clients will be able to keep)
  • Independent and/or online work assigned by the Teacher
  • Individualized program to fit your needs that includes skills development in English reading & writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary as well as Math and Computer study skills all important to know before starting high school.
Eligibility 

• 19 years of age or older with strong oral communication skills 

(*CLB 5 in Listening and Speaking)

How to Register for OCDSB Academic Upgrading:

You must make an appointment to register for by emailing Denise Delle Palme at [email protected] OR, filling in this Information Request Academic Upgrading form.
The OCDSB Academic Upgrading is part of the OCDSB Continuing Education Department’s LBS Program, and is funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Training, and Skills Development.
