Graduation Planning

As you make your way through secondary school, there are many decisions for you to make.

The Program Pathways guide is designed to help you make those decisions and choose a program pathway that is right for you.

To graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, you need:

1) 30 Credits (18 compulsory, 12 optional)
Credits can be earned through credit courses and/or:
- Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
- Equivalency Credits (Mature Students)

2) Literacy Requirement
Pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or Literacy Course (OLC40)

3) 40 Hours of Community Involvement Activities
This can take place prior to coming to AHS
