Quadmester 4Quadmester 4 will begin April 19 and Ontario has announced that classes will be online with students learning from home.

Transition Day on Monday, April 19th, 2021

Monday, April 19th will be a transition day. Please note that the regular day schedule has changed.  School staff will be meeting at the start of the day to plan for the transition and arrange for the distribution of technology. Teachers will use this day to focus on contacting students in their classes via email to ensure that all students are able to access their passwords, Google Classroom, and provide information about class schedules.

Students should also use this day to transition to remote learning as follows:
a) Review how to sign in to the Google Classroom, or the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE);
b) Learn more about remote learning etiquette; and
c) Take some time to watch these videos about Google Meet and the VLE.

You can find instructions about how to access the Google Classroom and other information about remote learning here.

Schedule for April 20, 2021 until further notice:

After the transition day on April 19th, the daily schedule will be modified for the period of the closure and both cohorts (A and B) will learn together each day.

Courses in each of block B and D (Period 2 and 4) will be taught each day in two 112.5 minute blocks.

Attendance will be taken at the start of each learning block.

Regular AHS attendance policies are still in effect (15 consecutive absences removal).

The teacher will provide students with more detailed information about the course/subject schedule and will post updates and instructions for students in the VLE or in  Google Classroom.
