Indigenous Adult Learning Space

The Indigenous Adult Learning Space (IALS) at Adult High School (300 Rochester) is a flexible, self-paced program designed to help Indigenous adults complete their high school diploma. IALS was created for individuals with jobs, families and busy lives who may not be able to attend regular classes but want to complete credits either in person, online or a combination of both.

Course material blends student interests, and allows for small classroom sizes and one-on-one support from facilitators, Ray Gianfrancesco and Pamela Bentley.

Students enrolled in IALS have access to in-school services and outside resources to help navigate housing, employment and post secondary education and transportation. IALS keeps registration open year round, so there is no pressure to enroll before a certain date.

There have been 12 graduates in the last three years since IALS began!
