Semester 2 Registration (February to June, 2025)
Registration continues between 9 A.M. and 12 P.M. on Tuesday February 4th
If you have been given a blue slip, please bring the following documents with you:
- Picture Identification: passport, driver's license, Health card;
- Proof of your Canadian Citizenship: passport or Permanent Resident card;
- Proof of Ottawa Address: Lease, Utility/Rogers/Bell bill with your name;
- CLB Report: if your English has been assessed within the past 12 months;
- Attended another school in Canada? Bring a copy of your most recent transcript.
- $30 consumable fee (cash, debit, all credit cards accepted);
- $60 non-refundable resource deposit (cash, debit, all credit cards accepted)
What Will Your Day Look Like?
Step 1: Come early! Students are served on a first come, first served basis. Be prepared to spend half a day. This will give you time to complete any assessments needed;
Step 2: Line up outside the Gladstone doors of the school (follow the orange cones). Speak to a staff member to receive a ticket indicating your registration appointment time;
Step 3: Return to the Gladstone doors at your appointment time to complete your registration with an AHS staff member and receive a yellow folder;
Step 4: Newcomers to Canada are required to complete an ESL/English Assessment and the Math assessments below:
Assessment #1 (basic operations, fractions, perimeter, area)
Assessment #2 (algebra, quadratics, graphing, slope, angles)
Assessment #3 (more algebra, exponents, sin/cos/tan laws)
Step 5: Meet with a Guidance Counsellor OR book a return appointment to create a timetable.
